Edwin Franko Goldman was one of America’s most beloved bandmasters and march composers of the early 20th Century. He formed his own band in 1911, began a series of free summer concerts in New York City in 1918, and in 1929, served as one of the founding members of the American Bandmasters Association.
During his 45-year career, he actively campaigned for better bands and better music for them. Below is link to a brief video (7-mins) to honor his forthcoming 150th Birthday Anniversary on January 1, 2028.
